Statistics: Russia’s Q1 natural population decline widens by 7%

MOSCOW, Apr 29 (PRIME) -- Russia’s natural decline of population widened by 7.1% on the year to 264,276 people in January–March, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Friday.

In the period, the number of births decreased by 4.9% on the year to 320,376 people, while the number of deaths increased by 0.2% to 584,652 people.
